Dear Lydia...

I just want to say that I'm glad you're my sister. I'm not sure what made me think of it. Today isn't special for any reason.

But I was sitting with my back against one of the swivel chairs in the living room, soaking in the Saturday morning sun while I drank my coffee...and I realized again how grateful I am to have you as a sister.

I'm grateful that we have been able to rent this apartment together and spend a little more of our lives getting to know each other.

I'm grateful we can laugh together and make memories together.

I'm grateful we can have fun just hanging out.

I'm grateful for all of our adventures.

Thanks for being you, Lydia, the total opposite of me...and that's what makes it so cool.

Thanks for putting up with me and sharing this season of your life with me.

Thanks for being my sister.
